Karen Willett

Karen Willett is a lifelong educator whose passion for teaching and storytelling has shaped her journey for more than two decades. Whether in the classroom or around the kitchen table, she has always believed that children learn best through stories filled with meaning, curiosity, and heart.

Her love for nature began early in life and continued to grow as she traveled, raised her family, and listened to the tales passed down through generations. Now a proud mother and grandmother, Karen finds joy in sharing stories that not only entertain but also gently guide children toward kindness, awareness, and thoughtful choices.

Angel Wings, her debut picture book, was inspired by quiet moments near the pond where she lives. There, surrounded by geese, frogs, and the soft hum of the outdoors, Karen noticed a small goose who couldn’t fly. From that image, a story began to take shape. This gentle tale brings together her love of poetry, wildlife, and education into one meaningful message: small acts of care can create lasting change.

Karen lives with her husband beside a peaceful pond, where writing and nature come together in simple, everyday inspiration.
